Job Summary:
The Senior Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk within a fast-paced automotive environment. This role ensures liquidity, supports funding requirements, and maintains compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts (short-term and long-term).
- Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and relationships with financial institutions.
- Oversee payment processes, including supplier payments, payroll funding, and intercompany transfers.
- Handle treasury accounting entries and ensure proper recording in the general ledger.
- Support financing activities, including loans, credit facilities, and interest calculations.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and assist in hedging activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement, AP/AR, and finance teams, especially in relation to automotive supply chain payments.
- Prepare treasury-related reports for management and support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in treasury or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange and risk management is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
