Job Summary
Ezz Elarab Automotive is looking for an experienced Workshop Team Leader to supervise daily workshop operations, lead automotive technicians, ensure high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance, and achieve workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating workshop activities, allocating jobs to technicians, monitoring repair quality and turnaround time, and ensuring compliance with company, manufacturer, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise workshop technicians and daily repair activities.
- Allocate repair orders/jobs to technicians according to skills, workload, and job priority.
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, utilization, and repair turnaround time.
- Ensure all vehicle repairs and maintenance are completed according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and identify/reduce repeat repairs.
- Diagnose and support technicians in resolving complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are delivered within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Parts, Warranty, and other Aftersales teams.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
- Enforce workshop health, safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
- Coach, train, and develop technicians to improve technical capabilities and productivity.
- Monitor technician performance and provide feedback to the Workshop Manager.
- Support root-cause analysis for recurring technical problems.
- Ensure accurate documentation of repair orders, technical findings, and completed work.
- Monitor warranty-related repairs and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
- Contribute to achieving customer satisfaction and aftersales performance targets.
- Prepare and communicate workshop performance reports and operational updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Automotive technical certification is an advantage.
- 4–7 years of experience in automotive workshop/service operations.
- Previous experience supervising or leading automotive technicians.
- Experience in a dealership, authorized service center, or automotive workshop is preferred.
- Strong experience with vehicle diagnosis, repair, and maintenance.
